RBS Library selected as the NH School Library Media Association’s “Outstanding School Library Program” award

Riddle Brook School’s Library has been selected as the New Hampshire School Library Media Association’s “Outstanding School Library Program” award. The award recognizes an exemplary NH library media program and services. The library program must play a strong role in teaching and learning, promote a positive learning environment, and be led by a well-qualified staff with strong administrative support.
The Riddle Brook Elementary library is fully integrated into the school curriculum. Collaboration with teachers and Google Presentations for every unit of study featuring links to library resources, make offerings seamlessly available to teachers. Assistant Principal Matthew Munsey shares, “Whether working with the school’s technology integration teacher to provide students with the most up-to-date digital resources, volunteering at after-school events, or collaborating with classroom teachers to revise and improve curriculum units, Hattie’s contribution to our positive school culture is second-to-none.”
The NH School Library Media Association is proud to name Librarian Hattie Ferns and the Riddle Brook Elementary School the Outstanding Library Program for 2016.
The NHSLMA Outstanding Library Program award winner was announced on May 13 at the NHSLMA Annual Conference at the Grappone Center in Concord. The winner will also be recognized at the NH Excellence in Education Awards on June 11.
