RBS Increase in Student Absences

RBS is starting to see an increase in student absences due to the flu/flu-like symptoms. If your child is showing symptoms of the flu, it is important to see a doctor. If your child is diagnosed with the flu and/or shows symptoms such as a fever, it is important to keep him/her home. Please remember, when students are sick – fever, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. – they need to be out of school for at least 24 hours after they are symptom-free. This helps to ensure that they do not spread their illness to other students and staff members. Please take a look at the link below from the CDC, which offers parents helpful information regarding the treatment and prevention of the flu. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our school nurse, Michele Ouellette at ouellettem@sau25.net or 471-1082 x25201.
