RBS Ellis Island Day

RBS fourth graders spent several weeks preparing for Ellis Island Day. Each student researched their family history, dressed up as a family member and became an immigrant at Ellis Island. There were a few lucky immigrants who were able to pass through all the stations without incident, but the many who were detained, heavily questioned, or sent back to the end of the line, were respectful and worked hard to get through a second time. The outfits and suitcases they had today were just perfect! Enjoy watching our video of an RBS rite of passage and one of our favorite days!
